KEEPING UP WITH KMART; TREND FORECAST AND RELEASE EVENT

Described as the ‘cult of Kmart’, everyone from Lorde to the local postman knows where everyone really gets a bargain.

To showcase the latest must-have homewares, Undertow Media put on a delicious shared meal amongst, in, on and all around, the latest offerings from the Kmart Living range, held at Mr Toms in Ponsonby Road in March 2016.

The private dining room setting proved the perfect Scandi-inspired canvas to showcase the latest and greatest in homewares, whilst allowing the media to not only interact with and see the different products up close but also providing style inspiration for how they could work their favourite Kmart products into their own homes all the while documenting the prettiness to their legions of social followers throughout the day.

With a full house of media and influential interiors bloggers swapping hacks, stories and inspirations, guests went away with a raft of new Kmart homewares to hone their #kmartstyling prowess, as well as a few insider tips from buyer Natasha Smith who let us in on what was to come for the season ahead, ensuring all our favourite people stay ahead of the curve.

54 social or online posts resulted from the activity, and no doubt caused some further queuing at the busy stores across the country.  The icing on the cake saw One News do a piece on its ‘cut price chic’, interviewing The Best Nest blogger Melissa Jack on the revolution, lust for and social (media) status that was once reserved solely for celebrities.
