PR AGENCY DIARIES: WE RELAUNCHED AUCKLAND’S EURO RESTAURANT WITH AN EXCLUSIVE VIP EVENT
Few restaurants are as synonymous with Auckland as Euro. From its prime position on Princes Wharf, its 21-year legacy is legendary – fantastic food, famous faces and fabulous décor have entrenched the eatery in local folklore and established it as a household name in the City of Sails.
Deciding 2020 was the right time for reinvention, the team behind Euro has transformed the institution into a reimagined icon both modern and bold. No more three courses, stuffy ties and white tablecloths - think modern, club-by-the-sea vibes, vibrant, shareable plates and an emphasis on art unlike anything else in Tāmaki Makaurau.
We celebrated the launch with a long lunch showcasing the site in all its glory. Friends, family, and VIPs sipped champagne and seasonal cocktails while enjoying a feast from executive chef Gareth Stewart. Guests dined on a selection of dishes from the summer menu including gigantic ‘bang bang’ squid, Mānuka smoked beetroot and grain fed Angus sirloin (which we can confirm all taste as yum as they sound), while internationally renowned DJ Frank Booker played a set of soul, funk and house until the sun went down.
The party continued into the wee hours, the perfect welcome to an entirely new era for Euro.
